凤姨

A new cafe in Pelita Commercial Centre, Miri. It's air-conditioned, so the food is more expensive. But the quality of food is bad, it just doesn't worth the price at all. I have heard a lot of bad comments about there. but i still decided to try it out as someone i know is working there. It was the first and last time going there.
Bad drinks. so plain, it's better to order plain water. Teh C Peng costs RM2.80, the weird coloured one costs RM3.50/3.80 not sure. deleted my memory for bad drinks.

Nyonya beancurd. It's better to be called Thai style bean curd. It's  just thai sweet chili sauce and crushed  peanut . I think it costs RM5.90

This is backside of the chicken. Sooo dark. SUX. They just served their clients with this. They were crazy.
Nyonya chicken rice. the chicken was soo small. The portion was too small too, it costs RM6.90/7.90. I could get better choice at Pelita area.

Nyonya fried kueh Tiaw. it costs RM5.90, way tooo expensive. The taste was okay. but the ingredients were soo ordinary.

Eastwood Valley buffet

I went twice to this place. For the first time, the people were not as much as the second time. The food was nice and always been refilled. Satays, cooked food, salad bars, kebab, laksa, soups, dim sum, roasted meat, ABC, ice-cream and etc.
For the second time, i think they where having functions at the back, the number of people was like doubled up. The food was finished soo fast, we arrived slightly late like 6.50pm. The food was not correctly matched with the name. i think the food was finished and they just simply cooked something to replace it. The quality was not as good as the first time. The drinks were refilled after finished. even satays, by the time of 8pm, they had started to clean up, we had just take 10 sticks of satays for 10 persons of us. I asked the person in charge at the counter, she said it's finished and they were to going to supply anymore. but i had my face down, she saw my expression, that was clear. I was shocked, i paid RM41.80 per pax and yet i just ate very little. People were like fighting for food. Luckily, the person came and asked what i wanted, she offered me some satays. They came cold, it was not freshly barbequed. i felt weird. She said she had asked them to make for us but it's cold? Maybe i won't go anymore. SAD.

Fratini's Restaurant Boulevard Miri

It's fasting month. The restaurant is having promotion for pastas and pizzas with 50% off. I like the pasta, it came with salmon. The pizzas were just fine, nothing surprising. It was hot as the place was crowded. A fly flew into one of the drinks, we asked for change while there was still half unfinished. They changed for us, that was pretty good. The service was not bad. The pizzas and pastas' names are written in Italian words but they have their details in English on menu. The pastas and pizzas cost around RM15 each after discounted. For the original price of RM30, I don't think i would go for it. LOL

The pasta with salmon. Creamy and tasty.

Iced Lychee RM5.

Hot chocolate RM5.50.

I don't remember the name of it. quattro? 4 types of toppings on it.

I think this is suprema.

Mushroom pizza.

Dessert Master (Boulevard Miri)

It was place where i used to go when it was just opened. But after several times, I found that the quality was not consistent. So i didn't go there for like a year. On 21/7/2012, I accompanied someone to go there to meet her friends. it was so crowded, it was 9.30pm. Undoubtedly, it was a great place for gathering, nice lighting, air-conditioned, WIFI provided. But it was so narrow and not so spacious.
i ordered Mango Sago, the taste was just fine. I preferred they could have better mango. RM5.90 was a fine price with a scoop of ice-cream on it, I thought it was vanilla flavoured ice-cream.

Taiwanese Aiyu Jelly, RM3.50. It was soo nice when it was just opened, after several times  of ordering it, i found that it was not consistent. It was either less sweet or no lime taste. The syrup itself comes with a lime taste(local kasturi lime) which i liked it very much, it was thirst quenching. That night i ordered it was tasteless and the ice was weird. i thought i could see some improvements but sadly I don't think i will go back anymore.
Egg pudding? The taste was real weird. Egg? And i was water inside.  i think it cost less RM3.00.

Dessert Master used to be my favourite. I don't think i will go anymore.

Kent's Garden Miri (Lutong Miri)

It's been a long really time that i wanted to go to Kent's Garden due to some reasons i couldn't have made myself there. On 20/7/2012, I went there.

Lcyhee milkshake, RM4.90. Just ordinary taste of lychee cordial milkshake
nothing special about it.

RM5.90 for the French Fries. Just fine.

Penang Fried Kueh Tiaw, RM7.90,  i expected something better and i thought there was sambal  with it. only that i found out there was no sambal. It was above standard compared to normal coffee shop, with few prawns and clams, for this price, i won't go for it anymore

Teppanyaki Chicken Rice, RM13.90, actually there were quite many pieces of chickens cubes underneath the egg, the sauce was too sweet for me. I didn't have much impression on Teppanyaki sauce but it was different from what i had expected. This would definitely make you feel full but there was nothing to shout out.

Garden Salad, RM5.90, the portion was so small, the ingredients  were simple , perhaps cheap.  The sauce was spicy, not the Thousand Island Salad sauce. Or it should be called Thai Style Salad? I preferred the one in Station One.

Vanilla Mocha Milkshake, RM4.90. The taste was not strong enough.  definitely a No-no for me to order.

I think it's a great place to chill out with friends. But i won't choose this place if i really want to get some nice food. For the price, I can have a better choice.

Simply Eaton(Permy Jaya Miri)

I have got my coupon from Groupasave for Roasted beef sandwich. Sadly for the first time i went, the roasted beef was unavailable. So i kept the coupon and decided to use it the next time. So i turned up to order something else to try out. But the lemon tea which came with the coupon was given free. That was sweet. Someone ordered chicken chop. The taste was okay, but the portion is small it was just a big drumstick. It was too small even for a girl.

I ordered Thai style fried rice. I swear this was the best fried rice by Malay. Not being racist, i thought Chinese can make the best fried rice. But trying this, i was proven wrong. This fried rice was so fragrant, the ingredients were to much but still it could conquer me with egg, chicken, corn. It came with sambal which i liked it quite much and few prawns, they were nicely fried and fresh too and it came with a Tomyam soup. It looked weird but the taste was fine. Again, it's a little too expensive for me. or the price for seafood is always a lot more expensive?

For the second time I visited, 7/6/2012, i ordered Nasi Katok. A drumstick, sambal with anchovies. The taste of drumstick was nice and just fine. I got complain for the soup. It was cold. It was COLD. Not warm or with any normal temperature. Maybe i was the only customer by that time, they didn't heat up the soup. That was a disappointment for me.

This was the redemption or my Roasted beef sandwich, fries mushroom soup. The soup was okay just a little too salty. The sandwich was quite a disappointment, they used meat slices, i thought it was fresh beef. I won't order this for sure.

This was Teh Tarik Madras. First, the taste was soo weak, at last i could sense the tea taste and the milk taste. Again it was not my cup of tea. Maybe i prefer heavy tasted drinks.

I might be trying out again for other food if i am in Permyjaya area.

Alai Cafe (Waterfront Miri)

Alai Cafe located at Waterfront Miri, same row as Silverspoon.

Sizzling black pepper mutton hot plate. I loved this very much the taste was not too strong or too weak. There are some bones and fats, so far acceptable.

Butter Milk Kailan (wet). This was quite fine, except there is taste of kailan, i think it's not cooked with water before stir-fried.  A bit too spicy as added chilli, those who can't take spicy food, remember to ask for less spicy.

Midin Belacan. This tasted nice but slightly spicy. The flavour of shrimp paste is the one that I prefer, not too odd. But the Midin's texture itself, I don't like it. Hard to bite?!

Tom Yam Soup. I asked for heavy taste, so I think the chef had boosted up the flavour. It was just fine, not watery. But the ingredients were too little, just some vege and very little squid. Or I shouldn't expect so much it was just soup. LOL

This is the last dish. Sweet and sour pork. This was fine also, slightly sour and came with a lot of onions and green pepper which I think it's good.

This is recommended by my friend, Khim. It's owned by her friend in secondary school. As I know, there are two owners, day and night. Daytime, it serves whatever available in normal coffee shops. At night, it serves dishes. We ordered 5 dishes which cost RM72 including 5 drinks and 5 bowls of white rice. I think it's considered cheap. I will definitely drop by to try out other dishes.

Location: Waterfront, Miri. (Same row as Silverspoon, opposite See Hua News)

Toast House Senadin

Sometimes I ordered hot lemon as i have flu~aik...

Iced lemon

Air mata kucing

French Toast, it's bread dipped in egg and fry. It comes with very very little kaya at the side as you can see in the photo.
Butter milk chicken.  It's too oily. It's very little for its portion.

Nestum Chicken. The portion of chicken had become lesser compared to previous. The decoration is dull. And the Nestum cereal was in a big whole piece.

Toast House is located near to my working place in Senadin. I used to go there more often. But I think the quality of food can definitely be improved.
